The Season for Atheism

It's that time of year again when children start counting the days until Santa arrives, families make plans to get together and people stampede over each other for the latest thing. This is also the time of year when a certain type of self proclaimed Atheists begin raising their own volume to be sure Christians everywhere know just how misinformed they are in supporting a faith that is purely evil.

Now, to be fair, most Atheists could care less what others believe. They would waste a moment trying to convince a church going person over to their way of thinking. They are not bothered by what it written on the money, or the reason for certain holidays and traditions. They wish to neither offend, or be offended. They are open minded, thoughtful, confident and intellectually secure.

Then we have the bible burning, in your face variety of atheist. These are the ones that try to belittle the belief systems of others, and the more public, the better. Moral outrage is expressed at the mere indication of any religious connection. Always offended, never content, they share very little in common to that of the Atheist explained before.

The reason for this is true Atheists are individually comfortable in their beliefs and those of others. They look to science and nature to understand the universe around them. This other group are not true Atheists. They follow a dogmatic belief system that is as complex as any established religion. A religion I identify as "Atheistical Statism," in which the state is it own moral authority. This is attractive to its followers because of ever evolving guidelines in which they are asked to follow. There are established church which exist as American Atheists and Freedom from Religion Foundation . They honor sacred people such as Madalyn Murray O'Hair. They have deacons and philosophical literature. Their mission is to remove all symbolism and referencing to traditional philosophies and belief systems. To censor all open discussions pertaining to conscience. To ultimately empowering the state the ability to dictate right from wrong and the moral ambiguity to change those definitions as required. In fact "Atheistical Statism" has and does existed as the established belief system of many of the worlds nations. Durning the course of the twentieth century, this philosophy, in combination with other political factors, is directly related to the murders of approximately 150 million people.

In North America, Christianity, as the largest subscribed philosophy, is the primary target of these so called "atheists." The methods that they use are directly from Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals," as they continuously attempt to discredit, silence and marginalize Christianity. Group thinkers work extensively in spinning biblical verses to create the most negative message possible, as exampled here. When possible they will publicly "shouting down" as many church sponsored events as they can. The effective use of "lawfare" to force and scare small business and public institutions into removing all symbolism and avoiding ceremonial events. They will selectively use history to example the evils of Christian religions while avoiding any good that was accomplished. For example, they love to discuss the horrors of "The Spanish Inquisition" but willfully avoid discussing the Catholic Churches contribution to science, or even the millions every year that benefit from the charity of Catholics.

All in all, this is an attempted to ban free speech and control thought. The public square should be equally open to all ideas as this would lead to greater understanding instead of closing it off to all, but their own. We must have a push back to protect all of our rights and not allow movements like this to bully or shame us into silence, less what we become as a nation, will be unrecognizable.
